ST. IVES - Cornwall, England
Clear azure blue sea and white sandy beaches - who would have thought we have these tropical-style delights in England!
If you’re looking to get away for the Summer, but are on a budget (or don’t particularly enjoy flying), then head down to the beautiful Cornish seaside town of St.Ives.
With a range of traditional pubs, restaurants overlooking the seafront, and shops supplying hand-made gifts by local artisans, St.Ives makes for a perfect weekend get-away.
Strolling through the town centre, we came across a lovely Tea Room called ’Madeleines’, where we just had to stop for a spot of the old tea!
It was off to Burrator Reservoir the next day for an early morning walk, taking in the fresh air and just generally enjoying the great outdoors. Burrator Reservoir is in the neighbouring county of Devon, and makes for a lovely place to take an early morning stroll with family or friends. We also saw a lone pony in the forest.
